How do people involve others?

Thoughts

Did van Gogh feel lonely?

What about the Stardew Valley dev? Or Moroni? Obviously I think they did. We all do right?

But also each of them what made their work so special (or possible) was that they were doing it alone. Sometimes that's how it has to be I think. Other times it's like that because, well, being alone is nice. Or we're just plain lazy.

So how did they stay motivated when for whatever reason they were alone?

I'm living alone rn in Virginia. Thousands of miles from my family. Thousands of miles from friends. I've made new friends of course but, they're also pretty busy and I've got a wild work schedule. On top of all that I'll be leaving Richmond in just a couple of weeks so there's not much motivation to get to know people too well.

So what do I do? I guess the obvious solution is to turn to the internet? I mean especially considering how tech savvy I claim to be. But I don't know there's just something about discord servers and Reddit that makes me back away slowly rather than open my arms embracingly.

I gotta be missing something. Either it's a frame of mind or false priorities. Or I'm just too content with not having to socialise even though I love being around fun people more than not.

I guess it could be called laziness.

Hmm. What even is motivation anyways?

I have a slight headache and whenever that happens I have near zero motivation no matter how excited I was to do something the day before.

Even right now I'm sat on a swing bench in a beautiful park with a lake fountain by my apartment, in the middle of making a website for my mum. But I feel like not working. Even though I guess I kind of am.

Anyhow this was just a long chain of thoughts. I kind of like being able to ramble like this. It makes for a good journal substitute for being too tired to actually journal.
